0 Samsung Slips Out Compact C20UN Camcorder

BERITA GADGET - Samsung has quietly released a new camcorder with its entry-level SMX-C20UN. The most visible interesting feature is its angled lens, which as on a handful of earlier cameras is tilted 25 degrees off the horizontal axis with the camera's own body. This, Samsung says, is to make holding it more comfortable by reducing stress on the operator's wrist.



 

The camera records still and moving images onto SDHC memory cards and has no internal storage of its own. It records in the H.264 video format and uses a 1/6-inch, 680K CCD sensor along with a 10X optical zoom lens. Users frame or review their videos and images using the 2.7-inch flip-out LCD.

A quick transfer feature lets users upload content directly onto their YouTube or Flickr accounts. There is also the ability to perform time lapse recording, so users can film a growing flower or other time-consuming event without being present for it.

0 Sharp reveals IS01 – an ultra-bizarre 5" Android clamshell netbook hybrid

BERITA GADGET - A new and slightly odd ball Android device has been revealed by manufacturer Sharp and Japanese network KDDI, in the shape of the Sharp IS01 – a netbook-like super-super-ultra-portable powered by Android 1.6.



Offering a larger keyboard than current Android QWERTY slider phones, the new Sharp uses its bigger clamshell footprint to offer a 5″ screen that runs at a high (for a mobile) resolution of 960 x 540.

That keyboard won’t work for touch-typists, but will at least offer keys large to make ‘thumbing’ very easy – and the 1GHz Snapdragon processor inside the Sharp curio ought to give it power to cope with everything a modern smartphone, and cheap laptop, can offer.

0 Samsung Galaxy S Segera Hadir di Indonesia

Berita Gadget - Sebagai suksesor Galaxy Spica, ponsel ini diklaim lebih hebat dengan layar Super AMOLED. Penjualan Samsung Galaxy Spica diklaim meningkat oleh Samsung Mobile Indonesia dalam kurun waktu dua bulan terakhir. Merasa optimis dengan perilaku pasar, Samsung segera memboyong suksesor Galaxy Spica, yaitu Samsung I9000 Galaxy S.

Hal ini diungkapkan Hioe Ankin, Head Mobile Departement PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia, saat diwawancarai VIVAnews di Jakarta, Rabu 31 Maret 2010. "Ada yang lebih hebat dari Samsung Galaxy Spica, namanya Galaxy S," kata Ankin yakin. "Ini adalah produk super dan versi premium dari Galaxy Spica," jelasnya.

Galaxy S, yang telah mengoperasikan sistem operasi Android v2.1 (Cupcake) dilengkapi dengan layar touchscreen capacitive Super AMOLED berukuran 4 inci yang lebih detail dan tajam dari AMOLED biasa. Dengan resolusi 480x800 piksel, pengguna akan lebih nyaman menyentuh tiap bagian layar besarnya dengan teknologi multi-touch.



Selain memiliki kamera 5 MP autofocus (2592x1944 piksel), ponsel pintar berdimensi 12,2 x 6,4 x 1 cm dengan bobot 118 gram ini didukung konektivitas 3G HSDPA 7,2 Mbps dan 3G HSUPA 5,76 Mbps. Sebagai alternatif, Samsung juga menyediakan koneksi EDGE class 12, GPRS class 12, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 A2DP, dan microUSB 2.0.



Di samping itu, Samsung I9000, yang sudah mendukung video HD, mempunyai storage internal berkapasitas 8GB atau 16GB, dan bisa ditingkatkan hingga 32GB dengan microSD. Tak ingin performanya mengecewakan, Samsung pun menyematkan prosesor berkekuatan 1GHz, 200 MHz lebih besar dibandingkan Galaxy Spica.



"Di Amerika Serikat, Galaxy S baru saja beredar. Diluncurkan di sana terlebih dulu karena memang AS merupakan salah satu pasar terbesar bagi Samsung Mobile," jelas Ankin. "Nanti, beberapa saat lagi menyusul di Eropa."



Galaxy S kemungkinan akan mendarat di Eropa sekitar bulan Mei, tak jauh dari jadwal peluncuran Samsung Wave. Namun, belum diketahui pasti berapa kisaran harganya nanti. Menurut rumor, Galaxy S akan dipatok sekitar US$ 600-700 atau setara Rp 5,4 juta hingga Rp 6,4 juta.



Di Indonesia, Ankin mengatakan, Samsung Mobile berencana memboyongnya sekitar bulan Mei-Juni mendatang. Tapi, dia enggan menuturkan berapa harga yang akan dibanderol pada Galaxy S nantinya. "Tunggu saja tanggal mainnya. Mungkin sekitar pertengahan atau akhir kuartal kedua," ucapnya.
